What is an AI credit?
One credit is roughly one thousand model tokens across generation, embeddings and chat. Indexing a typical 50k-line repository uses about 150 credits; a PR summary uses 2–5.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Automatic updates pause and you get an email. You can buy a top-up, upgrade, or wait for the monthly reset. Existing documentation stays published.
Do you train models on my code?
No. Code is sent to the model provider only to generate your documentation and is not used for training. You can bring your own provider key on Business and Enterprise.
Can I self-host?
Enterprise plans can run DocPilot on your own infrastructure. Talk to us.
