Terms of service

1. The service

DocPilot (“the service”) generates and maintains software documentation from source repositories you connect. By creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organisation whose workspace you administer.

2. Your content

You retain all rights to your source code and the documentation generated from it. You grant DocPilot the limited licence needed to read connected repositories, process them with AI providers, store the results, and display them to members of your workspace. We never use your code to train models.

3. Acceptable use

Do not connect repositories you are not authorised to share, attempt to access other workspaces, or use the service to build a competing dataset. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or exceed plan limits repeatedly.

4. AI output

Generated documentation can be wrong. Pages start as drafts and require a reviewer to publish. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it or distributing it.

5. Billing

Paid plans renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. AI credits reset each billing period and do not roll over. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Termination

You can delete your workspace at any time; connected data is removed within 30 days. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms.

7. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DocPilot’s liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Changes

We will notify workspace owners by email at least 14 days before material changes to these terms take effect.
